Who Will Tell
the Story…
Mark 16:1-8

Connect your questions of faith with the deep faith expressed by the
United Church of Christ. Discover what matters through
reflection, stories from UCC congregations and members, stories from
history, Bible study, and prayer.
Session One: 2/26/2012
We are People of Extravagant Welcome
Jesus didn't turn people away, even those often rejected by others.
We don’t intend to either.
The UCC has been bold in extending an invitation to all.
Come, share your journey with us.
Session Two: 3/4/2012
We Belong to Christ
How do you know God? Tell us your story. Let’s grow together. Grounded in our history and open to the future with you, our heart
belongs to Christ.
Session Three:3/11/2012
We are a People of Covenant
All are welcome into a special relationship with God, especially
you. The Holy Spirit
binds in covenant faithful people of all ages, tongues, and races.
Session Four: 3/18/2012
We are One at Baptism and at the Table
Come to the water of baptism and the table of Christ.
Receive God’s goodness and love.
The Holy Spirit through water, bread, and wine makes visible
the grace, forgiveness, and presence of God in Christ.
Session Five: 3/25/2012
We Thank God by Working for a Just and Loving World
You are invited to both the joy and responsibility of discipleship.
Imagine that a new world is possible, a world where the realm
of God is one of justice, hope and peace.
Session Six:
4/1/2012
We Listen for a Still-speaking God
Look, listen all around.
God’s trying to tell us something. God is at work in our hearts and minds, in faith communities
and in the wider world. God has “more light and truth to break forth.”

How do we chart our course? Do we need a story to sing as we go? One of the ways we can read the Gospel of Mark is as the song to sing that guides us through our life story and journey with God. When we see how Jesus interacts with the lives of people he encounters, we see people’s lives being transformed and their stories changing. The story of people being renewed and healed makes it possible to envision our renewal.
